WIND ENERGY CARGO SHIPMENT TO PROPEL VIETNAM'S RENEWABLE ENERGY PROGRESS

Swire Projects recently shipped four complete windmill sets, totaling 34,000 cbm, from Dafeng, China, to Vung An, Vietnam, for the Hai Anh 40MW Wind Power Project. This delivery marks another important step in supporting Vietnam’s renewable energy initiatives and showcases our commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions across Southeast Asia.

The Hai Anh Wind Farm, located in Quang Tri Province, features eight of Electric Wind Power’s WH5.25-172 wind turbine units, which boast the largest onshore wind turbine diameter in Vietnam. Spanning around 855 hectares, this project represents Electric Wind Power’s inaugural venture in Vietnam, playing a crucial role in the country’s efforts to meet its renewable energy goals.

The recent shipment included essential components such as towers, nacelles, hubs, blades, and various accessories, all expertly transported on our multipurpose I-Type vessel, the Pacific Integrity. With a deadweight tonnage of 19,600 and equipped with two 240-ton cranes, the Pacific Integrity ensured that every component was securely arranged and handled with precision. The wind blades were meticulously stacked in four tiers, with some towers arranged in two tiers and fastened securely on deck, while the remaining components were stored safely in the holds.

As the Vietnamese government intensifies its focus on renewable energy development, wind power is poised for significant growth, creating vast opportunities within the green energy market.
