First, let’s have a look at the industries we are active in. Swire Projects offers tailored solutions to several industries, including the Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas, Mining, Construction & Infrastructure, Power Generation and Chemicals markets.
Swire Projects has extensive experience in handling the unique challenges of transporting heavy and oversized equipment for renewable energy projects. Whether it’s wind turbines, towers, solar panels, or other renewable energy components, we provide specialised transport engineering solutions, well-equipped vessels with the necessary lifting capacity, and years of expertise to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
Transporting oversized, heavy, and specialised cargoes for construction and infrastructure projects is something we often ship. Whether its large modules, heavy equipment, steel beams, pipes or other specialised cargoes for construction or infrastructure projects, our team is ready to provide a reliable, safe, and effective shipping solution that meet specific requirements.
Recently, we shipped cranes and accessories from Taicang, China to the port of Singapore. Over 40 units weighing each 2,565 cbm were successfully transported with our MV Pacific Excellence. We have also supported the construction of a new shipyard terminal in Western Australia where 18 units of steel modules of about 2,780 cbm were successfully transported from Taicang, China to Darwin, Australia.
Swire Projects has a proven history of successfully handling complex project cargo shipments for leading oil and gas companies worldwide. Our expertise encompasses the transportation of large and heavy equipment, intricate machinery, and essential materials critical to the operations of this industry.
Cargoes that we can transport ranges from shipment of oversized modules, columns and towers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, material handling equipment, sensitive IMDG cargo, minerals and metals, yachts, work boats, defence, barges, pontoons, mining trucks, construction cranes, power generation equipment (including turbines, generators, and transformers), renewable energy equipment (including wind turbines, towers, hubs, nacelles and solar panels), bulk commodities (grains, minerals, coal, and bagged goods) and forestry products (including logs, lumber, and pulp).
Now you know the cargo flows we can ship, let’s have a look at our fleet. We have 9 multipurpose (MPP) vessels that are specially designed to carry this wide range of cargoes. Utilising Swire Projects’ H-Class 28,500 dwt and I-Type 19,000 dwt MPP vessels, both equipped with lifting capacities between 80 to 480 tonnes, our service ensures the safe and efficient transportation of complex cargoes.
