SEAMLESS DELIVERY OF 20,000 CBM DREDGING EQUIPMENT FROM PAYRA TO JEBEL ALI
Swire Projects has successfully delivered a full load of dredging equipment, approximately 20,000 cbm, from Payra, Bangladesh to Jebel Ali, UAE. This shipment included a 225t pontoon, the heaviest unit, which was loaded at anchorage onto our multipurpose heavy lift I-Type vessel, Pacific Integrity. This vessel has a deadweight tonnage of 19,600mt and is equipped with two 240t cranes, making it well-suited for handling heavy cargo.
The Port of Payra, located at Kalapara in Patuakhali, Bangladesh, presents unique challenges due to its remote location and limited logistical infrastructure and facilities. Despite these constraints, the loading operation was carried out with remarkable efficiency. The process involved offshore loading from barges and execution of several heavy lifts, all of which were completed smoothly within a span of five days. Each step was meticulously planned and executed, ensuring that all tasks were completed smoothly within a span of five days. This achievement highlights the team's ability to deliver a seamless operation under challenging conditions.
